THE AUTHOR NORMAN GILLER

London-born Norman Giller has written more than fifty sports-based books, and is a former chief football reporter of the Daily Express. Seventeen of his books have been written in harness with goal-scoring genius Jimmy Greaves, and he also collaborated on the memoirs of Gordon Banks, George Graham and Voice of Football Brian Moore. Other collaborations include books with Kevin Keegan, Tommy Docherty and Denis Compton.

He has devised and written several sports television programmes, including the ITV series Who's the Greatest. A member of the This Is Your Life scriptwriting team for fourteen years, Norman is currently The Judge of The Sun, and with his son, Michael, compiles crosswords and puzzles for several newspapers including The Sun, The Times and the Daily Express.

He used to ghost Billy Wright's column in the Express, and they were close friends for more than thirty years.

"I don't think nearly enough fuss has been made about Billy's remarkable achievements," he says. "I hope that A Hero for All Seasons is a fitting tribute to a player who was not only a great footballer but also a great human being."

Norman has his own website at www.writeandearn.com which is designed to help anybody hoping to get a book published.
